Introduction: Our Dream Venture

Hello and welcome to the SomewhereElse blog!

This blog is a space where we share information and stories about our homestay business, as well as snippets of our daily lives.
We are a family of three who have traded the hustle and bustle of city life for the tranquility of the lake and surrounding mountains.
While we aspire to self-sufficiency, we are not quite there yet. We prioritize recycling and reusing, choosing to cherish existing items rather than seeking new ones. This lifestyle stems from a sense of discomfort we gradually felt with urban living, which has only strengthened our values.

Our project to create various spaces, now in its seventh year, is an attempt to embody our lifestyle and values.

This gave birth to our brand, SomewhereElse.

The concept of SomewhereElse is “spaces + places to be yourself.”

We strive to create spaces and locations where you can feel free and different from your usual routine, and make joyful and lasting life memories. We advance this project with these thoughts at its core.

What we hold dear is sharing this place with people who resonate with our words and values. Our updates will be at our own pace, but if you find a bit of interest, please feel free to read on and/or reach out. We aim to create something together, not just provide a place to stay.

Introduction to Our Sapporo Property

This time, we would like to introduce our property in Sapporo. Out of six apartments, we currently operate three as short term rentals and three as fixed rentals. The property includes family-friendly three bedroom units and well-equipped one room units, catering to a variety of needs.

This property aspires to be more than just a place to stay. It offers convenient access to Susukino, Odori, and Sapporo Station, while being situated in a relaxing residential environment. The property faces a large park with a pond for boat rentals and a playground full of children’s equipment, providing ample opportunities for fun.

Starting from summer 2024, we plan to convert all six rooms into homestays and create more spaces to relax and play.Check our Sapporo property’s info on our website, or on Airbnb and booking.com for making a booking.

We hope you like our story, and we’d be happy to have you here to follow us on our adventures and updates..

If you have any inquiries or feedback about our venture or our Sapporo property, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to meeting you all.
